Pintakasi: Manila, Philippines; Pintakasi is a student, poet, satirist, journalist, visual artist, and activist who also aspires religious life under the Franciscan minority. He is influenced by writers Pablo Neruda, T.S. Elliot, William Shakespeare, F. Sionil Jose, Nick Joaquin, Virgilio Almario, Pete Lacaba, Alejandro Abadilla, and by modern artist, Lourd de Veyra. He writes in a such and frank manner, defining the reality of the 'urban jungle' which he refers to as home. The pen-name used is Pintakasi (which means 'advocate'.) He is a member of the youth-activists organization, ANAKBAYAN.
